In no time at all I had quite a collection, and I thought others might find some of my suggestions useful and thus the book-writing began. I asked friends and relatives for their favourite "skinflint hints", and did some pretty extensive research.
Eventually I put all the ideas together in book form on disk, using an excellent software package called Common Ground Digital Paper which allows all PC users to view the book in its original format, simply by running the .exe file. One definite advantage about digital publishing is that you will receive the most up-to-date version of the book available at the time you order, since the book is constantly being updated, particularly the section about Internet Resources.
